Frogbit is sooo cute!  The pads on this little floating gem grow to the size of a dollar coin.  Tree frogs love to sit on the little lily-like pads.  Multiplies well in warm weather.  Keep from freezing.  Over winters very well with fluorescent lighting.

 Requires partial sun.  Zone 8

Frogbit is Easy to Grow!
Although frogbit is a sub-tropical plant (zone 8) it is very easy to grow throughout the wintertime indoors.  Grow in a sunny window inside an aquarium with a florescent light.  Include mosquito fish as natural fertilizer.  Young feeder goldfish are ok, but might eat the roots as they mature.  You can also grow frogbit in a rubbermade tub in a basement or spare room with florescent lights alone.  By springtime you will have lots of little floating plants to dazzle your water garden!
