I spent 20 years in Northern California and 7 of those years were in South Lake Tahoe, California.  South Lake Tahoe is known to have more snowfall on average than Anchorage Alaska.  With my passion for gardening I have been searching for a way to grow my plants in subfreezing temperatures.  The article below, The Attached Solar Greenhouse by Richard D.
